Isaiah 41:10 – So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
God is omnipresent. This quality is an essential part of His being as the eternal God who fills all time and space. But there is a great difference to God being everywhere and God being with you. It is true that God will conquer your anxieties and comfort you in your loneliness. He promised, “Behold, I am with you always”. With such promises, why are we so often going at life as if we are alone?
Sure, there are times when we face difficulties and feel like left alone. When friends are gone and you cannot find help from a brother or sister. But the absence of a worldly companion does not leave you without hope or help. For even when you walk through the valley of the shadow of death, God is with you to protect you, strengthen you, and accomplish His good purposes through you. You are never really alone. Do not carry the burden of self-designed loneliness because by doing so you will remain afraid and collapse under the weight of your afflictions.
My brothers and sisters in Christ, we should rest in the reality of God’s presence and not fear. When we seek His communion, He will never leave us alone; we will never feel lonely in the times of trouble. Difficult circumstance and time will come but the Lord will strengthen us to deal with them and go through them with His Grace. When God is with His people then as a Christian you can rest assured that He is with us. We being Christians should not fear, as His promises are true and He is with us. And if God is with us to uphold us, and we have the promise of perseverance, then who could stand against us? The presence of God the Father will grant you rest and hope in the midst of all things that drive fear into the hearts of men and women. We should trust the Lord and His promises and cast our burden onto Him and He will give us Peace of mind and strengthen us spiritually and emotionally.
May God help us and guide us to walk in His path and dwell in promises. Amen
