1 Peter 3:9-10 Do not repay evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, bless, for to this you were called, that you may obtain a blessing. For whoever desires to love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit;
Today’s message teaches us to not take revenge and urges us to refrain from evil. According to the Bible it is not necessary to reward evil in exchange of the evil that was done to us. If someone harms you with evil intention then you simply leave the matter in God´s hands instead of taking revenge and become evil as well. Have faith that God will take your revenge.
If someone abuses you verbally, it is not necessary for you to abuse in return. Keep quiet, be patient and let God respond on your behalf. You are Christians and your acts and way of living must be according to what Jesus has taught us. Bible says that if you want to see good days in life then keep yourselves away from lie, deceit, abusing and all other evil acts. Keeping your tongue in control and not harming others through it results in receiving love and blessings from our Lord. Amen.
