1 Timothy 5:8 – If anyone does not take care of his own relatives, especially his immediate family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
Today’s message is for those brothers and sisters who are away from their loved ones and families for some reasons. Due to the personal grievances against their relatives they do not fulfill their responsibilities towards the family. But they must keep themselves aware of the fact that in result of doing so they won´t be considered righteous before God. If God tied us with these relationships that must be because of a reason known to Him alone, and He wants us to take care of these relationships. If your loved ones are in need and you are capable to help, do not ignore them because by doing so you hurt God. Instead reach out to the person and help in any manner that you can as by doing so you prove to be righteous from the point of view of the Word of God. By helping your loved ones you won´t become poor but your act of faith will get you closer to God and you will be blessed abundantly.
Take care of your elderly parents, serve them and do not abandon them in old age. Always remember that when you were not able to speak, walk, eat and drink then your parents did not abandon you. Prove yourself honest before God by taking care of your relatives because God doesn´t like the dishonest people and unbelievers. Amen.
